Who is responsible for your information
I am Guy Howe, operating independently as a sole trader through guyhowe.com. I am the controller of personal information collected for this website and my consultancy. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@guyhowe.com. This consultancy is separate from WGM Atlantic representation.
What I collect and why
When you contact me, I receive your name, email address, message and any professional materials or links you choose to share. These may include a Spotlight profile, biography, headshots, showreel, script or project proposal. I use this information to respond, discuss your needs and, where agreed, deliver consultancy. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry, and avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information or confidential information about others.
The enquiry form uses WordPress and Elementor. Submissions are stored in the website administration system and sent by email. Technical information associated with a submission or website visit, such as an IP address, browser information and date and time, may also be processed to deliver and protect the service.
The basis for using your information
I use information needed to discuss or fulfil a booking to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform that contract. For general correspondence, website security and maintaining appropriate business records, I rely on legitimate interests in running and protecting my consultancy. Accounting and tax records are also processed to meet legal obligations.
Who has access
Information may be processed by providers supporting the website, hosting, email, IT maintenance and consultancy delivery, and by professional advisers where necessary. Access is limited to what is needed for their work. Information may also be disclosed where legally required. An enquiry does not constitute a submission to WGM Atlantic or a request for representation.
Where a service provider processes information outside the UK, applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, including recognised adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards where required. You can contact me for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months after our last substantive contact, then deleted from email and the website submissions system, unless a specific legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. For clients, relevant correspondence and records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work, meet accounting and tax obligations, and deal with any contractual claim. Retention depends on the type of record and the applicable obligation; unnecessary copies and materials should be removed sooner. Backup copies are removed through the relevant backup replacement cycle.
Cookies, analytics and newsletters
I do not currently run a newsletter or use visitor analytics. The website may use cookies necessary for its operation and administration, including administrator login cookies. Your browser settings allow you to manage cookies. If analytics or newsletter services are introduced, this notice will be updated and any required choices will be provided before they are used.
Your choices and rights
Providing an enquiry is voluntary, but I need sufficient contact details and information to respond. Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restricted use or a portable copy of your information.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@guyhowe.com to exercise your rights or raise a concern. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

This notice will be updated when the website or the way information is handled changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
